Thanks to the contributions of Denver Rotary members and sound financial management over the years, the Denver Rotary Club Foundation is one of the most significant in Rotary with a corpus of over $3 million. Each dollar given impacts the life of a child in Denver, in Colorado or around the world – and offers our members enriching opportunities for volunteerism. Since its inception in 1969, our Club’s Foundation has distributed millions to fund important local and international programs. Locally, our Foundation sponsors a variety of programs that nurture, educate and enrich the lives of young people – from the gifted to the economically-challenged. Rotarians contribute time, money and talent to help our youth becme productive members of society, and prepare them for the challenges they’ll face in the future. Internationally, DRCF funds help futher the worldwide humanitarian effort of Rotary International, among those activities are high school youth exchange programs. Through our World Community Service Committee, programs range from construction projects to providing the disadvantaged with basic necessities like clean water, or educational programs to give people knowledge so they can combat disease and have healthy lives.
THe Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace though the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty. Every dollar contributed to The Rotary Foundation funds the humanitarian, educational and cultural programs and program operations.Â Clubs and Districts apply for and receive Rotary Foundation grants to carry out many worthy projects worldwide.Â The Every Rotarian, Every Year initiative, designed to encourage worldwide annual per capita giving of $100 or more, supports vital programs. The Rotary Foundation funds grants for Rotary Club of Denver activities, including matching funds to Denver 31 club World Community Service grants, 3-H projects, Ambassadorial Scholars, Group Study Exchange Teams (GSE), World Peace Scholarships, University Teacher exchanges, Clean/Safe Water projects and more.
