PROGRAMMING

The program committee has a very important goal--to provide an entertaining, diverse educational and/or otherwise topical program each week throughout the year. The committee requires a significant amount of planning to lock in speakers several weeks if not months ahead of time.

Our members demand quality in our speakers and their topics.  Great programming is one of the ways we attract new members, retains members and keeps members coming back to our luncheon meetings. The ongoing importance of the Program Committee cannot be underestimated.  Fresh ideas are crucial to the health and well being of this committee and the continued growth of the club.

The program committee is open to all members and meets once a month at a breakfast to review ideas and consider proposals from potential speakers and organizations. At the beginning of the year goals and ideas are identified by members.

MUSIC-INVOCATON

What would the weekly luncheon be without a song, an inspirational moment and the Pledge?  this committee recruits members to provide inspirational moments and introduction of speakers in order to get them more involved in the club and let long-time members get to know them better.

HOSPITALITY

This committee plans programs to welcome members, visitors and guests and to help them feel comfortable at the weekly luncheon meetings. This committee also helps to get information to the secretary for introductions at the beginning of the luncheon. Committee members assist in other ways, such as placing handouts at the tables, taking attendance, cleanup after the meeting, etc. Members also help with the registration table or other special events occurring at the weekly meetings.

FELLOWSHIP-OFF SITE MEETINGS

This committee is responsible for preparing and organizing fellowship meetings that are held away from the Denver Athletic Club throughout the year. These meetings are intended to promote fellowship among Rotarians by meeting in smaller groups, held at Rotarians work places or local cultural or non-profit organizations. These special meetings allow members the opportunity to see other venues and interact with fellow members in small groups. We schedule at least three Fellowship meetings throughout the calendar year.

COLORADO ETHICS IN BUSINESS (CEBA) AWARDS LUNCHEON

Members of this committee work with the CEBA organizations to get the RCD membership involved in this event.  The luncheon takes the place of one of the Club's regular weekly meetings. Committee members coordinate PR, reservations and follow-up.
